I've been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember, and now I get to produce, perform and teach it for a career.
Aside from making drum kits out of pots and pans aged 2 and joining recorder club a few years later, I first took up an instrument as soon as I got the chance when I was 7 years old. That instrument was the violin, and I've never stopped studying music since. Taking up the guitar, bass and singing soon followed, and I've been making music in bands, orchestras, churches and solo gigs ever since.
I now perform across the country and beyond with my singer-songwriter project Yakobo and wedding band The Distractions. I also write and produce music for films, video games and educational children's songs.
I teach private music lessons from my home studio in Derby, UK. I'm also an accredited teacher with the Derby and Derbyshire Music Partnership, delivering tuition in and around Derby.
I know how valuable music lessons were in my own personal development from childhood right through to being a professional musician. I take pride in being able to share my skills, knowledge and passion with people of all ages and abilities.
Take a look at some of my music projects below, and feel free to get in touch if you'd like to chat about taking music lessons with me.
